Math Dash is a family-friendly math game for all ages. We built it to be safe and private by default, and we keep the amount of information we collect as small as we can. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means.
The short version: no ads, no chat or messaging, no surprise purchases, and no selling of anyone's data — ever. We use privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics to understand how the game is used and make it better. To play friends' leaderboards, the app uses only a first name and game scores.
Information we collect
- Game data on your device — your scores, streaks, best results, trophies, and chosen difficulty level. This lives on the device so your progress is there next time you play.
- First name & scores (only if you use Friends) — if you choose to add friends, the leaderboard shows a first name (or nickname) and best scores so friends can compare. You add friends with a short friend code; there is no chat, messaging, photos, or profiles.
- Anonymous usage data — we use a third-party analytics provider to collect anonymous information about how the app is used (for example, when a game starts or finishes, the difficulty and score, and which features are opened) so we can improve Math Dash. It's tied to a random, app-generated ID — not to your name, your Apple ID, or any advertising identifier — and is never used for advertising or sold.
What we do not do
- No third-party advertising and no ad tracking.
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA), and no tracking you across other apps or websites.
- No chat, direct messaging, or user-to-user free text.
- No collection of precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera data.
- No selling or renting of personal information to anyone.
Families & younger players
Math Dash is a family-friendly game made for all ages. We keep the information we collect to a minimum, and the Friends feature is entirely optional. Because the leaderboard shows a first name (or nickname) and scores to chosen friends, we recommend a parent helps younger players set up Friends and pick a nickname they're comfortable sharing.
As a parent or guardian, you can:
- Use the app without ever enabling Friends — solo play collects no shared profile.
- Reset game data or remove friends from within the app.
- Request that we delete any associated data by contacting us (see below).
Data retention & deletion
Game progress stays on the device until you reset it or delete the app. If you use Friends, you can remove friends in the app, and you can ask us to delete any associated data by emailing us. We'll handle deletion requests promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this site.
